The Highest Level of Camaro Restoration Judging
Designed for the finest 1967–1981 Camaros, Legends Concours evaluates authenticity, originality, and condition using an intensive 5,000-point judging system focused on how the car would have left the factory assembly line.

Camaro Legends is a standardized judging points system to objectively evaluate and recognize Camaros that have been restored to “as they left the factory and to a level intended by Chevrolet”.

Legends judging is meant for those Camaros that are the highest level of restoration representing how an ideal car would have left the factory assembly line. Original components or those closest in appearance are what the Legends judges look for. Note that original may not be NOS ( New Old Stock ) as there are many parts that were changed from what was originally on the Camaro.

Reproduction parts that are entirely duplicative of original parts will be accepted for full accreditation with others accepted for partial originality credit. The restoration may be the finest paint and detailing or the restoration may be what duplicates the original finish and factory overspray. Legends will accept either style of restoration. We would advise that those desiring to duplicate original finish should do so correctly.
The Judging Process
Legends is a 5000-point concours format covering all areas of the car. 5000 points allows judging down to each component level. Legends Camaros are judged as to originality and condition. Scoring is broken into these two categories.

The following are the areas that are judged:
Operations: 200 points or 4%
Body/Exterior: 1460 points or 29%

Drive Train: 1515 points or 30%
(Engine Assembly – 955 points, Transmission – 335 points, Rear Axle – 225 points)
​
Undercarriage/Suspension: 525 points or 11%
​
Detail: 1300 points or 26%
(Interior – 770 points, Trunk Compartment – 180 points ,Engine Compartment – 350 points)
Our intent in setting this scoring breakdown was to roughly break out the areas in order of importance to an owner/collector/restorer.
Award Levels
Bronze: 83.0% – 87.99%
Silver: 88.0% – 94.99%
Gold: 95.0% – 97.99%
Platinum: 98.0% or above
Registration & Pre-Qualification
This program is limited to 5 cars and typically fills up quickly. Participants MUST complete and submit the required pre-qualification form along with the requisite photos of the exterior, interior, engine bay and firewall trim tag in order to be considered for acceptance into the class.
