Meet Our Newest Official Sponsor; Garner Customs and Restorations

It seems like every year at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show, certain cars really stand out, and lots of people ask me “where did those guys come from?” That may be one of the most fun aspects for me, as this trend certainly shows that the MCACN show continues to be the place to show off your cars and the restoration skills of the very best shops! Well...that’s the case with our newest Official Sponsor, Garner Customs and Restoration. Although not new to the muscle car world, last year was the first time they joined us. Hailing from Bradenton, Florida, they showed an absolutely show-stopping 442 W-30 in our Class of ‘72 Invitational that quite honestly, blew us away. And it wasn’t just the participants and spectators that noticed it. This 442 went home with one of the highest scores in our very stringent Concours judging, and they also earned the coveted Platinum Pick Judges Choice award. Our Platinum Pick awards are given by our top senior judges for the cars that are considered the best of show, among their marque. In other words...between the Platinum Pick and the Emerald Awards for Best first time shown, it doesn’t get any better!

We are honored and pleased to announce the Garner Customs and Restorations team has signed on as an Official Diamond Level Sponsor for the MCACN show. The Garner team is also gearing up to make sure they will be noticed by having a display in the W-31 Invitational area with their own Premier Unveiling of a very special car. We’ll tell you more about that one later, but as you can see, it will be another Oldsmobile. And again, it is already being noticed. Our friends at Muscle Car Review magazine will be following the restoration of this car, which happens to be owned by our head Oldsmobile judging consultant, Stephen Minore.

The Garner crew, led by Allan Steinbock and Ken Garner, handle a wide variety of cars. Although they have been involved with some very high profile Oldsmobiles lately, they are prepared to work on a variety of makes and models. Devoted strictly to maintaining only the highest standards, whether factory stock or modified, they have certainly earned respect with their consistent award winning results. To learn more about Garner Customs and Restorations, check out their facebook page and look for their new website launching soon. Welcome aboard Allan, Ken and crew!

Car Entry; Applications are now being accepted through our website. As always, top priority is given to cars that are rarely, if ever shown. Some of the cars I am specifically looking for are 68.5 Cobra Jet Mustangs and other 1968 factory stock muscle cars, especially Cougars, Roadrunners, Super Bees, G.S. Buicks and of course, Javelins and AMX’s. Of course, all other prime examples of American Muscle will be considered!

Commercial Vendors; We hold “same space” spots for our previous vendors until 4-15. At this time, we have received close to 80% renewals, so if you are a previous vendor and have not signed up yet, please do so asap. After 4-15 we will open the remaining spots on a first paid basis.

Please plan now to join us when we return to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (suburban Chicago), Illinois. The show will take place Saturday, November 17, from 9 am – 8 pm, and Sunday, November 18, from 9 am – 5 pm. We have been called “The Center of the Muscle Car Universe” by Muscle Car Review magazine. If you don’t know why, you really need to see for yourself!
