MOPAR COLLECTORS GUIDE NEW ISSUE HIGHLIGHTS MCACN SHOW
We have been incredibly fortunate with the automotive press with countless full features on the show since our inception in 2009. And what makes it even better is that there are literally hundreds of individual features on cars that have been found at MCACN. In fact, some of the most notable automotive writers and photographers, including Al Rogers, Geoff Stunkard, Tim Costello and Diego Rosenberg, have all shot features right at the show, both inside and for outside shoots in advance of our show. Thanks Media friends...we really appreciate each and every one of you!
Today we want to talk about the November 2015 issue of Mopar Collectors Guide magazine that is on the stands right now. Rob Wolf, the publisher of MCG, has been on board with our show since we started, and he never misses it. Under Rob’s direction, Al Rogers has shot an incredible amount of covers and features right at our show, (ten covers to date, and more coming!) and a whole lot of features. Just goes to show you, MCACN is the place to be if you want to see your car in a national magazine! And if you are a Ford fan, who could forget the awesome cover and full feature in the April 2015 issue of Mustang Monthly that not only featured our Boss 429 Invitational last year, but each and every car that participated in the display inside the magazine. Then we have our good friend from Quebec, Fabrice Monceaux, and his crew from V8 Passion. In this fine magazine, we are featured every year with awesome photos, and it is written in French, once again showing we truly are an International event. If you missed any of these features, click here to see our media page. Believe it or not, it is not quite up to date right now, as we have four more features that need to be added, so be sure to check back periodically for updates.
And so, a while back Rob suggested we create a special “Muscle Car Nats Preview Issue” and that is exactly what he did. This issue is filled with features on cars that you will see at MCACN this year. Of course, the ‘65 Dart that you see above is one of them, joining us all the way from Sweden, and there are features on five other cars, a truck and two Muscle Bikes that you’ll see at the show. And that’s just the beginning. We would like to say thanks to Robert Wolf and the entire Mopar Collectors Guide crew for making this issue happen. I may be a bit biased, but it is one of my favorite issues to date!

MCACN MAGAZINE: Mike D’Alessio and I have been scrambling and putting in some serious hours wrapping up the new MCACN magazine. Again, I may be biased, but I think it is the best one ever, and I have some pretty big news. As always, I find I simply have too much great material to work with. We have so many incredible cars, so many outstanding special displays and so many awesome people joining us that it is nearly impossible deciding what will actually end up between the pages. With that being said, I am pleased to announce that again, we are expanding and this years issue will have 80 pages. That means it was 64 pages from 2009-2013, 72 pages in 2014, and for 2015, we’re running with 80 pages, and that still isn’t enough. Perhaps it is time to consider a quarterly MCACN publication? Let is know your thoughts. And of course, the best part is that you will get your copy for FREE. If you are already on our mailing list, yours will be mailed in mid October, and if you are not, or are not sure if you are, sign up here now to be assured of getting your very own copy.
SPECIAL EDITION 426 HEMI E-BODY CONVERTIBLE BOOK Between working on the magazine and all of the other things that we need to do to prepare for the show, I have been writing and gathering pictures and information for something new. We will be offering at the show a very special and very Limited Edition 72 page hardcover book devoted to the 1970 and 1971 Hemi ‘Cuda convertibles and 1970 Hemi Challenger R/T convertibles that are joining us for the incredible 426 Hemi E-Body Convertible Invitational display. Since we are clearly creating some real history here, we decided to commemorate this happening by creating this book. The book will feature stories on each of these cars, with history, beautiful photos, (past and present!) and much more, including some insight from several special guest writers. Only 200 1st Edition hardcover copies will be available, each numbered, at $100.00 each. If you are a collector of books and automobilia, you know what a low number that is, and once they are gone, they are gone! The books will be available at the show and we will be accepting advance pre-orders for pickup at the show next month.
Well...it is time to get back to work and believe me, there is plenty of it for the MCACN team. As of this week, we have a few more openings for prime Muscle Cars and Corvettes and for Muscle Bicycles. We have Commercial “B” spaces available for automotive only vendors at just $200.00 per 12 x 10’ spot. If you are interested in selling your car at MCACN, we have just two more VIP Car For Sale spots at $250.00 each, and a few regular Car Corral spots at the rear of Hall “A”, which are $100.00 each.
We’re on the countdown with less than 60 days until the show!
The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals is the world’s largest All Indoor specialty show devoted to Muscle Cars, Dealer-built Supercars and the finest and rarest Corvettes. We will again fill nearly 400,000 square feet of exhibit space in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (suburban Chicago), Illinois, just minutes from the Chicago O’Hare Airport. The DoubleTree O’Hare is now sold out, but not to worry, as we have secured great rates and special perks for MCACN spectators and participants at four more area Official Host Hotels, with three of them being right across the street. Click here to book your rooms now. Please note; we will NEVER call you or have anyone else call you to solicit hotel bookings. If you get a call to book a room for MCACN week, hang up!!
Thanks for your continued support and participation.
