Sneak Peek 2012 Show*
1970 Plymouth Roadrunner 440+6 convertible
First Time Shown Car Entries at an All Time High for
MCACN 2012
Restoration by Mike Mancini
We are truly honored to be able to host the country’s
finest Muscle Cars and Corvettes that come in from all
across the USA and Canada to be a part of our show. This
year, we are especially excited about the high number of
“first time shown” entrants we are receiving.
Those of you who were at our 2011 show certainly
remember the “Unveilings” Saturday
morning, a definite highlight of the show. Opening with
the “Only One” 1967 Shelby GT500 convertible, then over
to the ultimate Day 2 ‘69 Nova, then over to the
outrageous Baldwin-Motion Maco Shark, followed by the
1968 “Desert Rat” Yenko 427 Super Camaro and then the
incredible red L79 Chevy II; whew...what a lineup!

For 2012, we will again open the show with some VERY
significant muscle cars. Up front in the “hot spot” you
will find the original 1969 Hurst/Olds
convertible. YEP...you read that right! You
will be able to see the actual car that was on
the track with Linda Vaughan on the big platform with
the huge Hurst shifter, Premiered at MCACN 2012 at 10 am
Saturday, November 17. From there, we’ll head over to
our 1969 Trans Am Convertible display,
which will feature an unheard of SEVEN of the original
eight ‘69 T/A converts.
Ken
Mosier and The Finer Details
will be taking the wraps off of a
freshly restored 1969 Trans Am convertible
at 10:30 am. At 10:45, head over to the Chicagoland
Mopar/Mopar Collectors Guide MOPAR ALLEY
display area to see the cover come off a 1 of 17
1970 440+6 Roadrunner convertible! But
wait...we aren’t through yet! Next up is a very cool
second generation Firebird Formula that
has incredible original family owned history. And
this is just a sneak peek of the numerous First Time
Shown cars you will see this year. Other cars
entered that are currently under restoration that will
be shown for the first time include a 1961 Corvette,
restored to perfection, several Oldsmobile 442’s, a COPO
Camaro, a ‘69 Yenko 427 Super Camaro, a ‘70 GTO Judge RA
IV, a 1967 SS 427 Impala convertible and several C2
Corvettes and well...you get the idea! The pressure is
on for the restorers of these fine automobiles and we
can’t wait to see them up close and personal.
