SHERMAN PARTS TO SPONSOR “GOING TOPLESS” INVITATIONAL CONVERTIBLE DISPLAY
One of the coolest aspects of my job is being able to work directly with the “movers and shakers” in the industry who are the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals Sponsors. Recently we announced that the Mecum Auction Company signed on as our new Title Sponsor and we are honored to have Bill Stasek Chevrolet returning as our Presenting Sponsor. Today we want to introduce Sherman Parts, who join us as the Official Sponsor of our “Going Topless” Invitational display. Yes...this year we will be Going Topless at MCACN...well, some of the cars will be!
Jim Sherman is about as crazy about cars as I am, and being one of the largest suppliers and manufacturers of sheetmetal in the world, we knew he would fit right in. Many of you may remember the cool ads in various magazines featuring the bikini clad young lady with Jims own 1970 Roadrunner convertible. It seems that Jim likes cars with tops that go down, and so we knew that our special Top Dawg Convertible display would be a great place for the Sherman Parts crew. They have an absolutely incredible variety of parts for Mopars, various GM cars including complete ‘55 and ‘57 Chevy bodies and a variety of applications for Fords and Mercury’s too, and not just sheetmetal. Heck...I even checked on parts for a ‘69 AMX and guess what; they had ten different applications! Sherman Parts handles a variety of collision parts for your modern day driver and a whole catalog full of parts for your vintage collector car. You could literally spend days browsing their website! www.shermanparts.com
Styles Cougar BEFORE Restoration
As for our “Going Topless” display, already confirmed are several HEMI Mopars, including a plum crazy ‘70 Challenger R/T, TWO RA IV GTO Judges, several W-30 Olds 442’s along with a W-32, several Stage 1 Buick’s and even an ultra rare 428 CJ Mercury Cougar. Truly, the rarest and most desirable drop-top Muscle Machines ever gathered under one roof will be converging on the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, November 17-18. And as if that isn’t enough, be prepared to see not one, not two...but SEVEN of the 1969 Pontiac Trans Am convertibles, side by side. A mere eight of these machines were produced, and they are clearly among the most sought-after convertible muscle machines ever built. Never before have these cars been shown together, and it is very likely they will never be seen together again. don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of Muscle Car history in the making.
Our thanks go out to Sherman Parts for joining us this year and helping us achieve our goal to be the absolute best display of rolling Muscle and Corvettes ever gathered under one roof. To see what Sherman Parts has for you, be sure to check out their website and meet Jim and the crew at the show in our Going topless display. Sherman Parts, Classic to Crash; Restoring Excellence!
