We are always preaching about supporting our sponsors, because they support what we all love, which is great cars, great events and cool people, so let’s talk about what is happening right now out in Carlisle. The good folks at Carlisle Events will be presenting the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals “Meet the Mean Ones in Chicago” special display in honor of Don Yenko, and the incredible Dealer-built Super Cars and muscle cars that he is responsible for at MCACN this November 17-18. But this weekend, they aren’t talking about Chevy’s because it is all about MOPAR, with their big Carlisle Chrysler Nationals event! This is an absolute must do for any car fan, whether it is Mopars you love or not. There is so much to see and so much to do that if you cant have fun there, you are in the wrong hobby. Special guests include “The King” Richard Petty and even Daisy Duke, so you know it is going to be a hot one. The Carlisle crew tells me that again, they have reached record numbers for pre-registration for both cars and vendors. There are always well over 2,100 cars and row after row of vendors and this year is going to be another good one. Believe me...if you don’t find it at Carlisle, you aren’t looking hard enough!
Show hours for Saturday are 7 am – 6 pm and Sunday from 7 am – 3 pm, so you have plenty of time to check it out. AND...on Saturday night, Rob Wolf and the Mopar Collectors Guide crew will be kicking off the night with the first annual Mopar Hall of Fame Induction party. This year, they will be recognizing The Ramchargers Race Team, the Sox and Martin Race Team, Herb McCandless, Cotton Owens and others. The induction ceremony will take place at the Radisson Carlisle Saturday night and a few tickets are still available.
