& 2013 Great American Muscle Car Giveaway Car
BIG WEEK FOR MCACN V; MEET KALIAH K. AND ALSO OUR NEWEST SPONSOR!
This has been a fantastic week for the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show. We work all year long to “raise the bar” to produce the absolute best possible show devoted to the country’s finest and rarest Muscle Cars, Dealer-built Supercars and Corvettes, and this week was a very rewarding one, as we were able to see some “instant results” from our efforts. First, I would like to introduce you to our new MCACN magazine cover girl, show Liaison and poster girl, Kaliah K. Our friend Jeff Thorpe knows we want the best, so he introduced me to Kaliah about a month ago. After reviewing a variety of applicants, I knew it was time to “ring the bell” when we met Kaliah! Not only is she, well...quite gorgeous, she also has a personality that is as bright as her smile. But wait....it gets better! Kaliah prefers to work with “car people” and absolutely loves Muscle Cars and Corvettes. So what is her favorite car? You’ll have to come to the show and ask her! Kaliah will grace the cover of the new MCACN 64 page all color magazine, (out in August at select shows, mailed in October) and she will be at the show as our onsite Liaison. Kaliah will be signing the magazine and our new poster, along with assisting with our Unveilings, the Saturday Mopar Collectors Guide and Mustang Monthly Cover Girl Search Contest and more. Welcome to the MCACN family, Kaliah!
Speaking of the MCACN magazine, this week ace photographer Al Rogers/Freeze Frame Image, LLC did the magazine photo shoot here in Michigan. Jeff Stolowski brought out the beautiful (and very real) 1970 Olds Rallye 350 that is the 2013 Great American Muscle Car Giveaway car. Tickets are on sale now and also at our show, with 100% of the proceeds from the ticket sales going directly to the March of Dimes, a very worthy cause. The car will be on display at MCACN all weekend, and on Saturday night, November 23 at 7:00 pm, the winner will be announced by a very special celebrity tba. Hopefully, one of our MCACN participants or spectators will be driving this one home after the show! The pictures shown are out-takes, or “behind the scenes” shots that I took, so you can just imagine the ones Al shot; whew!! Thanks go out Al, Kaliah, Jeff S. and Jeff T. along with Kaliah’s brother who all worked hard to make this an outstanding day, and the end results will blow you away!
We have a limited amount of ad space available in our new magazine, starting at just $100. Please click here for pricing and information, and then e-mail email@example.com to reserve your spot. We invoice after we start distribution, and accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Paypal for payment. If you would like to see your car in our new magazine, you must be officially registered in the show. We include only officially “signed up” cars, so if you haven’t applied and been accepted, you quite simply will not see you car in the magazine! If you would like to show your car with us this year, please apply here. Don’t delay, as classes are limited in size to maintain a good balanced show, and classes are already filling up.
We are honored to be able to work with the “best of the best” when it comes to our sponsors. Once again, we are pleased to announce one of the best will be joining us as an Official MCACN Sponsor. Apex Autosports of Grafton, Wisconsin has participated in our show several times, including last year when they showed a freshly restored and very real 1970 Hemi Superbird in our “Aero Warriors” display. In addition to being a huge hit at MCACN, it also just scored the “Best American Muscle” award at the prestigious Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance in Pinehurst, North Carolina. This year they will join us with a fantastic display featuring more of their fine work. Expect to see several prime Mopars and be sure to make a point of meeting Andrew and Megan White. Oh...and rest assured, although they may be best known for their many Mopar restorations, over the past few years they have also restored a Shelby GT-350, a ‘69 Yenko Camaro, a RA III ‘69 Trans Am and many others, including a gorgeous B5 Blue 1970 ‘Cuda convertible for Pam Wellborn of the Wellborn Muscle Car Museum, another fine MCACN sponsor! To learn more about Apex Autosports, check out their cool website; www.apexautosports.com
Another one of our fine Sponsors, Carlisle Events, is geared up and ready for another outstanding event. The Carlisle GM Nationals will take place this Friday-Sunday, June 21-23, at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. This is one of the largest and most diverse GM events and you will be able to see several thousand GM products, ranging from the 20’s on up, with a major emphasis on muscle. As is always the case with Carlisle events, in addition to the rows and rows of great cars, they will have a HUGE swap meet and some great food. The Carlisle team knows how to do it right, and they even go the extra mile by arranging many of the cars by year, make and model so you can find exactly what you like quickly. Be sure to check out the indoor displays too and make a point of checking out Beenie Motors, where Brian Henderson and the Super Car Workshop crew will be hosting the cool Solid Lifter Showroom 5 display. This year they again have an outstanding lineup with some unexpected treasures! Be sure to stop by and say hello to the gang, and THANKS to them for hosting our huge “Meet the Mean Ones In Chicago” Yenko display at MCACN last November.
Next week we head to Champaign, Illinois for the Bloomington Gold Corvette show. We are excited to be a part of Corvette history in the making, with the move to Champaign. See us onsite with a display in the Northwest lot, right next to Al Knoch. We will be accepting applications for Corvette Central Triple Diamond contestants, so be sure to stop by the booth, or grab me out on the field! I will be there shooting pictures and spreading the word, so if you are signed up for Triple Diamond or any other part of the show, or need information, be sure to let me know for possible inclusion in our new magazine.
THANKS and as always, we welcome your input and suggestions.
