Sneak Peek 2012 Show*

We have been very fortunate to receive great coverage of our show again this year from many of the national magazines and websites. Muscle Car Review, Vette Vues. Hemmings Muscle Machines, Ledfoot News, Mopar Collectors Guide and Camaro Performers to name a few. Today we are proud to announce we have an awesome feature in an International magazine; V8 Passion out of Quebec, Canada!
I first met V8 Passion Publisher Fabrice Monceaux and ace photographer/writer Kiki D. Bois in Toronto a few years ago when I was showing a gorgeous Rally Green ‘69 COPO 427 Camaro from the Nickey Chicago Collection. The guys introduced themselves and we had a great time talking about rare muscle cars. Seeing an opportunity, I explained to them that we were just getting started with serious planning for what we hoped would become the “Premiere” Muscle Car and Corvette event in the Chicago area. The guys seemed to be as excited as I was, and so I extended to them the “all access/24 hour” VIP invite to come and check it out. Well...the guys proved that they indeed live and breath muscle cars and Corvettes, and they have provided excellent full color coverage of the show for several years now. This year, we are again honored to be featured in the new June issue. Now...being from Quebec, the magazine is written in French, but not to worry...there are tons of pictures, and as you know, a picture is worth a thousand words!
V8 Passion is a very classy full gloss magazine that is clearly put together by real car guys that, quite simply, “get it.” Their Passion is shown on each and every page and the color photos are outstanding. V8 Passion can usually be found at Barnes & Noble stores or better yet, get a subscription by going to or e-mail
We would like to thank Fabrice and the crew, along with all of our other media friends who help us “spread the word” about the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. Since we need spectators through the gates to remain in business, the coverage really helps. But don’t forget..we also need YOU to help us spread the word, so please tell your friends, relatives, neighbors and anyone else who is willing to listen to plan on joining us for our next show, November 17-18, 2012 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.

This weekend...
This weekend we will be at the EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan. This prestigious event takes place on Fathers Day, June 17 at the beautiful grounds of the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House. I have been heavily involved in the show for many years as a member of both the Leadership Committee and the Vehicle Selection Committee, and really enjoy it. EyesOn Design is a very different Concours style show focusing on the design aspect of automobiles, motorcycles and this year, vintage hydroplanes. It is a benefit show for the Detroit Institute of Opthamology (DIO), an internationally-recognized non-profit which accelerates the development of “artificial vision” — technology which will one day allow some blind and visually impaired persons to regain some vision to see the world around them, including seeing the designs of automobiles. Equally important, the DIO provides aid to the visually impaired and blind of Michigan. Please see for more information. I am pleased to say I have invited quite a few MCACN “alumnus” who will be coming in from several states for this Invitation Only event with their great cars. Thanks go out to all of them for helping me support this great cause. This is a really beautiful and relaxing show with over 300 entrants this year, so please plan on joining us.
Or if you are in a more southerly location, you can attend the Mecum Auction in North Little Rock Arkansas!

Next week we head to the big Bloomington Gold event in St. Charles, Illinois, (home of Nickey Chicago) where will have a booth near MCACN sponsors Bill Stasek Chevrolet, Corvette Central and Mid America Motorworks in space GC21a on the golf course walkway. We will have some great specials on MCACN wearables, and we will also be accepting Triple Diamond Corvette, car, and vendor registrations. And of course, we cant forget about the Mecum Auction there too...More on this next week....
Hope to see you real soon, and Happy Fathers Day to all of you Dad’s out there!
