Original unrestored Superbird from West Virginia Ed Bohrer 2012 MCACN Aero Warriors Invitational Display CHICAGOLAND MOPAR SWAP + BEST ALL INDOOR CHEVY/CORVETTE SHOW IN TEXAS THIS WEEKEND!
It is going to be a great weekend for car nuts like me, and since the holidays, the January auctions and that big football game are now behind us, it is time to think about cars again. (like I ever don’t!)
 Vicki and I are loaded up and ready to hit the Chicagoland Mopar Connection annual indoor swap meet at Larry Roesch Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep in Elmhurst, IL. The Chicagoland Mopar Connection Club, along with Mopar Collectors Guide magazine played host to our cool “Mopar Alley” display last November, and I understand the gang already has some cool things in the works for Mopar Alley II for 2012. The variety of high quality Mopars in the display was incredible, and I know there are a whole lot more among the many chapters of the club.
The CMCC swap meet takes place from 8am – 2pm Sunday, the 12th of February, and in addition to all of the swappers, there are lots of great people talking about...what else; cars! Our display will be right on the main aisle and we will be accepting applications for cars and vendors, so be sure to stop by. Several of our special displays will showcase Mopars, (Aero Warriors, Trans Am Terrors, Super Bee Invitational) and our first entry for “Going Topless” is a real-deal ‘70 Hemi Challenger RT convertible, so the Moapr camp is sure to again be well represented at MCACN! Of course, we welcome ALL exceptional Muscle Cars and Corvettes, so let’s see what you have, no matter what brand it is. The address for Larry Roesch C-D-J is 200 West Grand Ave, Elmhurst, IL. 60126.
On the other side of the map, our friends Bill and Bonnie Wolf, publishers of Vette Vues magazine, will be hosting the largest all indoor Chevy and Corvette show and swap in Texas, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston this weekend. This is without a doubt the coolest indoor show in Texas, with all kinds of activity and great cars. While planning out your automotive calendar, be sure to add the Race and Performance Expo in St. Charles, IL in a few weeks. This is a show like no other, with all kinds of booths featuring performance goodies, race parts and much more. The show is like a trade show, with manufacturers reps and lots of the movers and shakers of the industry, but it is open to the public. They also have a long list of seminars going on all weekend, so there is a whole lot of shared knowledge available.
