Here at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, we are truly honored to be able host so many great cars, automotive vendors, and restorers to our show. 2012 is sure to be another record year for MCACN, with close to 550 cars confirmed, along with over 200 vendor booths for our show that will take place Saturday, November 17 from 9 am – 9 pm and Sunday, November 18, from 9 am – 5 pm at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (greater Chicago), Illinois. One of my favorite things in our show is our outstanding automotive artists. Today we want to tell you more about these talented folks that bring yet another element to our show, and certainly some color!

2012 Featured Artist; Mary Watt Yeadon/Bellflower Art; This year we are honoring a very special lady with incredible passion and talent. Being a real “car girl” is clearly evident in her work, which varies from full on Muscle Cars to visions of dreams that have past. You will find Cuda’s, Mustangs’s, Camaro’s, Corvettes, 50’s classics and much more in the realism style that is a true reflection of her passion. And don’t think for a minute that Mary is afraid to get her own hands dirty...she has been a hands on participant in the restoration of several cars in her families collection, that range from 50’s Caddies to Trans Ams. Remember, automotive art makes an outstanding gift for your favorite car enthusiasts. All of these talented artists will be on hand both Saturday and Sunday ready to sign your art to make it even more unique. I also recommend viewing all of our artists websites in advance, as they will be a happy to bring your art directly to the show if ordered in advance, thus eliminating the shipping charges.

MORE MCACN SHOW UPDATES;

aLoft Hotel added as Official Host Hotel; Due to incredible demand, we have sold out THREE of our host hotels. The DoubleTree O’Hare, Embassy Suites O’Hare and Crowne Plaza O’Hare have reported “sold-out” status, but not to worry! We have added a fourth host hotel for your convenience. the aLoft is located behind the city parking structure, approximately 3 blocks from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. This all new hotel is offering a rate of $109 for MCACN participants and spectators, along with $10 daily parking and FREE internet access. Reports from our people last year say this is an awesome hotel, very stylish and upbeat and they will also be running door to door shuttle service for MCACN people. Car Show Entry; We are officially “sold out” for the car show portion. Fact is....I have close to 550 cars registered for 536 spots! We do have a standby list, but as you can see, the “overflow” will obviously take priority before we can accept any additional entries. Thanks to everyone who has signed up, especially those who made the commitment way back in December and January! FYI; applications for our 5th Annual show, November 23-24, 2013, will be accepted in the show office starting November 17, 2012.

Vendor Opportunities; I am pleased to announce that both Commercial A and Commercial B are completely sold out. Cover Girl Search Contest Saturday Night; In addition to our Saturday night FREE concert with The Vinyl Highway Band, www.vhband.net, we will hosting our first Annual Mopar Collectors Guide Cover Girl Search. If you have what it takes to become a national magazine cover girl, this is your chance! And to make things even better, the Ledfoot News gang has also stepped up and will be joining the fun, with a second opportunity to be a cover girl, for Ledfoot News! Our MCACN Official Photographer, Al Rogers/ Freeze Frame Image will be onsite and the actual cover shoots will take place right at the show. To submit your entry and for rules and regs, click here; The finals will be held at 5 pm Saturday, with the winners announced after The Vinyl Highway Bands break at 6:45. National Magazine Coverage; Participants will be pleased to hear that we have national magazine representatives and editors coming in from across the country and also Quebec to cover our show. We have been very fortunate to have full features in nearly every national magazine devoted to our hobby over the past three years! If you have dreamed of having your car featured in one of the national Muscle Car or Corvette magazines, this may be your best opportunity. PLEASE keep the covers off of your car once you have arrived, as the photos will be searching for potential feature cars from Thursday-Monday.
