Saturday Nov 23..  9 AM-9PM     Sunday Nov 24..  9AM-5PM

If you were at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show in November, I don’t need to tell you it was a winner and yet another amazing year for us. In all respects, our team achieved our mutual goal of “raising the bar” and the feedback has been outstanding. If you weren’t able to make it, please mark your new calendar now for November 23-24, 2013. With that being said, we would like to extend our heartfelt THANKS to everyone who participated in the show, whether you showed a car or bicycle, were a vendor, or were one of our outstanding sponsors. was a show for the record books!

Several of our Invitational displays truly made history. Our “Meet the Mean Ones in Chicago” Don Yenko Memorial display hosted a record setting 61 real-deal Yenko Super Cars and Yenko sold cars, including some very significant vintage race cars. And the memorabilia...whew! Special thanks go out to the many people who came together to make this happen; you know who you are! There is no doubt that this was the largest gathering ever under one roof of Yenko automobiles, and we indeed were able to tell the story of not only the cars, but also the man responsible for really putting Dealer Super Cars on the map. What an honor!

Our “Aero Warriors” display allowed us to bring together an outstanding variety of these rare automobiles and their owners. This one may not have been the largest gathering ever, but I am here to say it was the best! Everything from national award winning Concours examples to “driven hard and put up wet” cars that were just plain old fun, with over 40 cars on display. The owners of these cars are a fine example of what truly passionate enthusiasts are and it was sure a lot of fun mixing up the Fords with the Mopars!

Unveilings have became a trademark event at the MCACN show, and this year was no exception. What could be more fun than having Linda Vaughan atop the big trunk mounted platform when the cover came off the ‘69 Hurst/Olds convertible Saturday morning? And not to be left out, we pulled the covers off of rarities from Chevy, AMC, Plymouth and Pontiac in 2012. If you are restoring a significant muscle car or Corvette that has a neat story, celebrity ties or other interesting history, and it will be completed by November 2013 and not shown to the public before then, please submit your car for consideration to As of today, we have confirmed our first two; a VERY rare and significant one-off Oldmobile that I can assure you, you are not aware of, and of course, Creed and Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti’s Charger that you saw by the awards stage, pre-restoration, at our 2012 show.

Our Corvette Central Triple Diamond competition and display again was a HUGE part of our show. With entrants ranging from 1954-1986, we saw the history of the Corvette unfold before our eyes. These cars represent the best of the best, and with entries from 17 states, we are truly honored to be able to present one of the Corvette world’s most prestigious awards competition to the select few who have made the commitment to preserve or restore, and present these beautiful examples for our viewing pleasure.
I could go on and on, and often do...but suffice it to say all of the vehicles on display deserve mention!

A major key to our success is our sponsors. We are honored to have our Official Presenting Sponsor, Bill Stasek Chevrolet on board, who has been with us since our inception, along with Nickey Chicago, Mr. Norm’s Garage, Reliable Carriers, Corvette Central, Mid America Motorworks D&M Corvette and the SuperCar Registry,  also all with us since we launched in 2009. Mecum Auctions stepped up in 2012 and became our Official Title Sponsor while The Finer Details, Muscle Car Restoration and Design, Hagerty Insurance, The Wellborn Muscle Car Museum, Carlisle Events and David Snyder Art continue to share our passion, and have all been multi-year Sponsors. We really appreciate their continued support. We also welcomed American Muscle Car Restoration, Inc., Adam’s Polishes, Sherman Parts, Artist Michael Irvine, Dave’s Nostalgia, Trans Am Depot, ProArc and DFT Details to our family of Sponsors and we look forward to working with them for many years. We encourage you to support each and every one of our sponsors, not only because they help us to do what we do, but also because they are truly the best of the best in what they do, and they indeed share our passion and enthusiasm by being an integral part of our success.
2013 brings us into our 5th year of producing the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, and rest assured, we have a lot in store. In celebrating our 5th anniversary, we realize just how fortunate we are to be able to produce what has quickly been established as the show for the best of the best, the rarest of the rare and the coolest of the cool in the Muscle Car and Corvette world. With your continued support, we will again “raise the bar” in 2013...and for years beyond. Our commitment goes much further than just trying to sell tickets and fill space. Our commitment comes from years of being involved in all aspects of our hobby, from racing and collecting to restoring and showing to preserving and sharing knowledge. Each of the MCACN members truly live and breathe the hobby each and every day. Some of us make a living doing it...and some of us participate in various ways as a form of relaxation.
The MCACN Members are already gearing up for 2013. Each year, many people ask “how will you top this?” and I can confidently say that I believe we have been able to do exactly that each year. When we launched in 2009, some people felt this was a one or two year deal and would fade away or even loose its momentum. Well...I don’t think we have to worry about that! The momentum and interest continue to grow and I can assure you that 2013 will again set the bar for our hobby. With the continued interest in cars in general, the strong aftermarket, and continued growth in television and national media coverage through the auctions and other car related activities, we look forward to seeing more and more people joining us for the first time, while you continue to participate and help us by telling your friends about what we do....and hopefully, bringing them to the show.

We have confirmed several of our 2013 Special Displays. This includes a Salute to the 1963 and 1973 Pontiac Super Duty’s and a gathering of 1973 Buick GS’s, with an emphasis on the ultra rare Stage 1’s. We are also pleased to host the return of our ever popular Corvette Central Triple Diamond Corvette display and competition along with our Shelby Snakepit, and you will see expansion of our Vintage Certification program for unrestored originals. We will also present our 2nd Annual Barn Finds/Hidden Gems display, as it was a HUGE hit in 2012...and we know there some real rarities out there that you would love to see! Several other special displays are in the works, (hint-hint; Baldwin-Motion, Roadrunner, Z/28 and some VERY special 1963 Corvettes) and as always, we welcome your input. If you want to take the lead and coordinate a special gathering, please get in touch with  me and let me know what you have in mind. If you own a car that fits into one of these displays (or the show in general), you can sign up today.
The wheels are turning and as always, we will be on the road starting this month. I will be heading to AZ for the many auctions and other activities and you will also find MCACN team members out in Kissimmee at the huge Mecum Auction, featuring an unprecedented 3,000+ cars over ten days; whew! In February we return to some “grass-roots” marketing kicking off with the Chicagoland Mopar Connection annual swap meet at Larry Roesch C/D/J in Elmhurst, February 10,, then the RP Expo in St. Charles February 22-24 and the Buick/Olds/Pontiac/Cadillac swap, also in St. Charles, IL. February 24. If you have an event we need to attend, please let me know!

Registration is now open for cars and commercial vendors. We also have sponsorship opportunities available, so if you want to be a part of the world’s largest all indoor specialty show devoted to the very best and rarest muscle cars, dealer-built Supercars and Corvettes, please contact me at or call me at 586-549-5291.

(Please note; Our sponsor programs work for you all year long!)

We would like to extend our heartfelt THANKS to you for allowing us to do what we do. We all realize just how lucky we are to be successful. With your continued support and our promise of being committed to producing a truly world class event, rest assured we plan on being around for a long time...
Best wishes to you, your family and friends for a safe, happy and prosperous New Year!

Make it your best ever....
