MCACN SHOW OFFERS MUCH MORE THAN CARS FOR 2012 SHOW

Don’t worry...the MCACN team hasn’t lost focus and continues to be committed to producing the absolute best (and largest) All Indoor specialty show and swap devoted to Muscle Cars, Dealer-built Supercars and Corvettes. With the incredible amount of rare and desirable cars that are coming in from across the country, and even as far as Saskatchawan, I thought I would share some of the other features we have lined up for the show, which will take place November 17-18, 2012 at the beautiful Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, (greater Chicago), Illinois.

MUSCLE BICYCLE SHOW; This is going to be a blast! As many of you know, I am a “bike freak” and have an extensive collection of my own. Every year at move-in, I can be seen blasting around the show floor on one of my own Muscle Bikes. This led to the occasional conversation with some of our participants. Some said “hey...I used to have one of those” and some were, “hey...I have one of those in my garage!” Well, one thing led to another and now, we will be featuring a “show within a show” with our first annual Muscle BIKE show. This non competitive display will be set up in the awards area with a wide variety of bikes that will take you back in time. Schwinn Stingrays, Fastbacks and Krates, Raleigh Choppers, an Iverson Roadrunner, Ross Barracuda’s and examples from Montgomery Wards, Hercules, CCM, Sears, Ross and others will be on display. We even have a nationally known restorer who will be bringing in his own collection that has every single year Schwinn Krate, from 1968-1973, restored to perfection! MODEL CAR CONTEST; This is another “show within a show” and totally FREE for our spectators and participants. The C.A.R.S. In Miniature group along with Model Empire host this cool deal. We have classes for Junior, (12 and under), Senior, (13-17) and Adults, and also for diorama’s and a miscellaneous class for those models that are, well...totally different! Trophies will awarded Sunday for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all of these categories and all of our Junior entrants will receive one FREE model kit (per child) compliments of Model Empire. This is for Adults and the kids, so bring along as many models as you like; there is no limit on how many you can enter. BTW; the C.A.R.S. in Miniature group will also have a special display of members models, so be sure to check them out too and say THANKS to the crew for making this neat addition to the show happen.

REVELL MODELS MAKE AND TAKE; Remember the first time you built a model car? Well thanks to Revell Models out in Morton Grove, the Make and Take returns to MCACN. This program introduces young modelers to this great hobby by providing a FREE model car kit, while members of the C.A.R.S. In Miniature group offer onsite assistance in actually assembling these models. Let’s see if we can expand our hobby and plant the seed. For me, I started building when I was a kid and my son Ian has been building since he was about 7...and he recently jumped back into building after suffering a major knee injury. Yes...we will also have some of Ian’s models on display!

FREE SEMINARS; Throughout the weekend, we will have some great FREE seminars. The amount of knowledge shared and the access is unprecedented this year! Subject matter ranges from technical aspects to how to get your car in a magazine, so watch the website for times and subjects. Thanks go out to all of our Seminar Leaders for sharing their expertise for all of our spectators and participants!

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE ROCK AND ROLL; We are pleased to present The Vinyl Highway Band on our awards stage Saturday night. We kick off the festivities with our Mopar Collectors Guide Cover Girl Search finals, then a set from The Vinyl Highway Band, then the announcement of our Cover Girl, then another set of Rock and Roll to close out the night. KIDS SCAVENGER HUNT; Thanks to our generous sponsors, this cool feature returns! Pick up your card at the Info booth right up front, and let the kids have some fun while picking up some great FREE prizes. This will certainly help to make the show fun for the whole family!

SHOW UPDATES; The car show portion of the show is now full, with well over 500 cars signed up. We have nearly 60 in the “Meet the Mean Ones in Chicago” Yenko display, 40 in our Aero Warriors gathering, 20 incredibly rare convertibles in the Sherman Parts "Going Topless” display and 16 in the AMC/Ya display. Our Corvette Central Triple Diamond Corvette display and competition is again jam-packed with entries ranging from 1954-1995.

SWAP AND COMMERCIAL SALES AREA AND CAR CORRAL; We have limited space available in our swap area and Commercial B center hall area (10 x 12-$200 each) and a few more standard car corral for sale area spots. These are just $100 each, so sign up today to be a part of the action.

PRESALE DISCOUNT ADMISSION TICKETS; Adult Discount presale tickets are available online NOW. Save $5 per Adult admission by purchasing online or at one of our outlets. Tickets have arrived at Nickey Chicago in St. Charles, IL. and as of this writing, are in transit to our other outlets. Please call our other outlets first to verify they have received their Presale tickets! Remember, kids 12 and under always get in FREE with an Adult, so please bring them along.

MORRIS LIONS CLUB SHOW SUNDAY; As many of you know, the show was cancelled last week due to inclement weather, but it has been rescheduled for this Sunday, October 21. Last year they hosted over 1,000 cars and several hundred swap spaces, so it is a big one! We have a space in the swap area, where we will be distributing our new MCACN 64 page magazine, jam packed with show features and information. The magazine is FREE, so if you didn’t get one in your mailbox, stop by and grab one! We will also have some special deals on MCACN t-shirts, jackets and sweatshirts, so pick some up and arrive at our show in style!

FACEBOOK CONTEST LAUNCHED!
