Sneak Peek 2012 Show*
Grumpys Toy X Mark Pappas 2012 MCACN
GRUMPY’S TOY X VEGA TO BE FEATURED AT MCACN 2012
If you were with
us for the Muscle Car and Corvette
Nationals show last year, you know we
had the honor of hosting legendary Drag Racer
Grumpy Jenkins, along with two Grumpy’s Toy
tribute cars owned by Mark Pappas. Mark helped us to
accommodate The Grump, and it was a real honor for us
to be able to have him at the show. Grumpy shared
memories and signed autographs for hours Saturday and
Sunday and even spent some quality time with another
legendary drag racer we had at the show, Wally Booth.
Now THAT is history! As you know, in late
March, we sadly lost Grumpy. This year, in honor of
Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins, we will have a very special
display. Featuring Mark’s latest acquisition, the
real Grumpy’s Toy X Vega Pro Stocker,
Mark has really stepped up to host not only this
historical car, but also a collection of memorabilia
relating to Grumpy and his long racing and engine
building career.
First off, a bit
about the car; working with Grumpy prior to his
passing, Mark was able to secure the car and work with
him directly, along with his crew, to make sure the
car was restored properly to its former glory. The
Grump had some parts and pieces on the shelves back in
Pennsylvania and the deeper into the project Mark
went, the better it became. The original parts that
are on this car will absolutely blow you away! Being
such a historical car, with many records and
incredible press coverage, it was important to both
Mark and Grumpy to do it once...and do it right.
Well...after the Grump’s passing, Mark become even
more devoted to making sure this one was right, down
to every last detail. We are proud to say that Mark
will present Grumpy’s Toy X, in honor of Bill
“Grumpy” Jenkins at the MCACN show, November
17-18. This alone is worth the price of admission!

LIVE
MUSIC RETURNS TO MCACN SATURDAY NIGHT; Last
year we had the pleasure of hosting Redline 7000
Saturday night in the Awards/Ballroom area. If you
were there, you know I took the band up on their offer
to allow me to “sit in” and jam on the drums. Well,
not being a guy who passes an opportunity to be
onstage, well...you know the rest of the story! This
year we are pleased to again present a FREE
Saturday night concert.
The Vinyl Highway Band
will be bringing us two sets of jammin’ rock and roll
music, and believe me when I say, these guys will blow
you away. Special guests? Well...you’ll have to wait
and see!

coming in all the way from Saskatchawan, which btw, is
one of two cars coming in from Saskatchawan....we
did a count on “First Time Shown” cars and it
surpasses the 100 car mark. This is for cars being
shown for the very first time ever, not just
in the Chicago area....total car entries is quickly
approaching the 500 mark, meaning we are darn near
completely FULL again, assuring you get your moneys
worth!
